Jack and Jill Pancakes

(The color of the background is more pink and my apologies for the glare on the photo).

My mother used to make these pancakes for us.  We loved them because they were very fluffy.  My sister found this recipe somewhere and we put it in the family cookbook. It's from an old issue of "Jack and Jill" magazine from the 50's.  Does anyone remember that magazine?   My husband made them yesterday and I decided they would be a good subject for a painting.  I don't know why I chose that background color, but I think I like it.

2 cups Bisquick
1 2/3 cups milk

1 egg
4 TBSP  butter

  2. Looks yummy too! Wish I could eat pancakes, but everything now seems to just go extra pounds and hurt my boyish figure
