I did two more paintings using just these three colors, plus white. (all for the 30 day challenge, of course) Notice I used two blues, but both blue-greens.
What I noticed when seeing them together on my daily paintworks gallery page is the harmony, not only within each painting, but also as a group. Interesting....
If you look at that page at DPW you will see they are cohesive as a group compared to the other paintings on my gallery page.
(love that Sevres Blue, a gift from a very wonderful friend)
Your pickles are just as beautiful as your paint tube painting. I have used a limited pallette but never a tertiary one. You have inspired me to try this. I love the neutrals it gives you.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see the new colors that I discovered.
DeleteI love sevres blue as well!!! I got a taste of it on a sample from Utrecht art store. I had to buy a tube!
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece!

I don't think I can paint without it now.

ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteHi Carol-I love this limited palette--your paintings are lovely. Sorry if I missed this--what are the other besides the Sevres (looking forward to trying).
ReplyDeleteThanks and happy challenge painting! Aimee
Hi Carol! I just saw that you are doing this challenge, too. Love your work as always. Got to try those tertiary colors. Thanks! Paula Raudenbush
