I constantly struggle with what to paint.  Sometimes I have endless ideas, other times, no ideas.  I do often paint the same thing several times in different sizes.  A lot of paintings intended to be framed end up being studies, but  I have always believed that you learn something from every painting and never consider even a failure to be a waste of time. 

 

Feel free to use any of these photos.  I still see things I would do differently in this one so I might do another one.

Shadow Box that my husband made for me.  The sides are insulation board which is very lightweight, the base is mdf board and it is mounted on a Timber Tuff chain saw sharpener stand.  The reason we bought the stand is because it is sturdy, adjustable and reasonable in cost. If you have any questions,  just email me.  I am so happy with it.  It has really helped in isolating the light and getting rid of extra shadows. 

 

 

 

 

Yesterday's small painting was done from this set-up and today I am doing a big 18 x 36.  It's only partially completed.
